Imprints

This is an exciting technique of pouring ink and paint onto layers of rice paper. After drying as the layers are peeled back, simply magical things have happened! 

Abstract forms reveal themselves in an array of colours, from soft and subtle to vibrant and bold. Lines and marks appear with ease as landscapes, animals, faces emerge. Yet other images are more reminiscent of spirit, of energy and the emotion that resonates within.

Serendipity abounds as East + West meets with a personal vision to energise each pouring. This collection of artworks expresses a more contemporary view of nature and the world around me. Read more about this technique →
